Frequently Asked Questions

Are you taking custom orders?

Unfortunately, no. I currently have a full time job and don’t have the capacity to maintain both at the moment.

Do you sell your patterns?

No. But, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to! I am in the process of trying to learn how to translate what my brain knows into a easy to follow document. So, hopefully soon!

How did you learn to embroider & what products do you use?

I learnt how to embroider by watching YouTube tutorials about ten years ago. When it comes to the products I use it’s really just a personal preference and in no way the “right” way to do it! I use a pencil to draw my designs onto my fabric. The fabric that I prefer to stitch on is broadcloth. I use DMC embroidery floss, and I try my hardest to thrift and garage sale as many hoops as I can, but when worse comes to worse I just order them in bulk online.

Are you interested in having your products in our store?

There is truly nothing that I love more than that offer, and I am incredibly flattered but, I prefer to sell my items on my own.

Will you donate art to our charity/fundraiser/thing?

Probably, yeah. Slide into my DM’s to discuss!

Any advice for someone wanting to get into embroidery?

My number one piece of advice is: allow yourself to fuck up and make so much shitty art!! This isn’t even specific to embroidery, but, learn from every mistake that you make. Find the products that you are most comfortable with using. Give yourself so much room to grow and don’t get discouraged when you aren’t making the progress you want. It took me a literal decade to get to where I am now and there is still so much room for improvement, which makes me excited to see where I will be in another ten years. But, most importantly, have so much fun doing it. It truly is so cool and brave of you to want to try and I hope that you remember that always.
